Anisa B. Threlkeld, MD

Dr. Threlkeld is Board Certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. She has served on the Board of Prevent Blindness Georgia, and is a participant in the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Eye Care America for glaucoma screening. She has published numerous articles on glaucoma and on general ophthalmology in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Threlkeld has a strong familial background in medicine, a perspective she draws on in caring for her patients. Her maternal grandmother, grandfather, mother and father all practiced medicine for many years in Atlanta, and she was drawn to the care of patients and to the practice of medicine as a child. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, a healthcare attorney, and their three children. During leisure time, Dr. Threlkeld enjoys travel, hiking, family activities, reading and movies.
